Dr. Berg: Number 1 Food to Burn Belly Fat

Protein is the number one food to burn fat. But, it comes with a package.

The reason protein will help you lose weight is because of two of the fat burning hormones – growth hormone and glucagon.

It must not be a large amount of protein per meal – only about 6oz. If you start doing more than 6oz per meal, you are going to put a lot of stress on your liver because your body has to break down the excessive amount of protein.

Our bodies don’t really need a lot of protein.

That protein must be quality. Most diet programs use soy protein isolate protein powder or the cheap whey protein powder, that is a low quality protein.

If you are replacing that with your own body protein you are not going to look healthy ad you lose weight. I’ve seen people do it that way and they look older and they look like a crack head.

Add quality protein like:

Grass-fed Beef

Organic Chicken

Free Range Eggs

Wild-caught Fish

Add enough vegetables to the diet to get rid of the waste of the acid from the protein. Protein turns into a waste product if you have too much of it such as ammonia acid.

7 Cups of vegetables will flush all of this waste out of your body especially your liver and buffer the side-effects of the protein.

As long as your vegetables are high you can tolerate the protein. In this is what you can do to get rid of belly fat because it will trigger the right fat burning hormones.
