Prayer, Driving and a Coronavirus Reminder

Posted on Feb 11, 2020

I feel led to share something I’m experiencing while driving and suggest that you try it and watch what happens. I believe there’s a coronavirus application that I’ll add at the end.

I’ve been doing a lot more driving in congested metro areas and I’ve gotten in the habit of praying the morning before for special travel mercies while on these trips. I ask God boldly to dispatch mighty angels to protect me in that day’s travels from accidents, mechanical problems, distracted drivers, drunk drivers, evil, police, and to make straight the crooked path. Try this and watch what happens.  It took dozens of examples of answered prayer before I would write this in a blog post.

There are dozens of coincidences and lucky breaks, parking spaces, no traffic coming when I’m turning left cross traffic, at night oncoming traffic lighting up speed traps hiding in the median. But the most interesting thing I noticed right away were the gaps in highway traffic when I was merging at 65 to 70 miles an hour onto what should have been a busy expressway.  I would remember that morning prayer as I observed this gap in traffic over and over. Then my mind would reel thinking about how many details and controlled lives in time and space it took to manage that gap in traffic.  But this happens so often now after prayer that morning that I want you to try it. This is a hedge of protection because I asked God for it specifically that morning.

But that experience has led me to think, if God can control dozens of other people’s lives and vehicles to control something as mundane as a gap in traffic, why wouldn’t He be able to control and protect us from the coronavirus at the nanoparticle germ warfare level.  Could you walk right through an infected area and repel the virus around you like an invisible shield? I think you can if you ask God to dispatch mighty angels to protect you from it. This is an excellent example of something you can’t do by yourself.
