One Ingredient Ninja Creami Low Calorie Ice Cream Recipe for Beginners

Ezekiel Diet Note:  After watching several Ninja Creami videos on YouTube I now get barraged with dozens of other Ninja Creami how to make healthy, low calorie ice cream videos.

I went ahead and bought a Ninja Creami knowing I’m going back into serious diet mode for 4 to 6 weeks. I’m no longer interested in pumpkin or sweet potato pie after consuming a few thousand. I cut back on protein servings at lunch and dinner to make room for a couple 150 calorie Ninja Creami’s during the day. Lunch and dinner on the EZ Diet calls for up to 8 oz of chicken or fish. I drop back to 4 oz and have plenty of room for a couple Creami desserts.

When it comes to ice cream remember that what makes ice cream addictive fat fertilizer is all the sugar and heavy cream. The Ninja Creami has become such a success I believe because it allows people to substitute the sugar and heavy cream for something healthier. I imagine this is taking a big Ninja slice out of the expensive prepackaged ice cream business.

I love ice cream, but I know it packs on extra weight fast so it’s a pleasure reserved for occasionally. Same with cheesecake, if I’ve gained weight it’s because of real sugar desserts. And it doesn’t take many to add up quick on the waistline.  So I thought I would try this new Nija Creami fad.

I bought my Ninja Creami on eBay for $129. I priced it at Costco at $169, Walmart at $169, and many retailers up to $229. On eBay you must get last year’s model, or an open box.  Mine was an unopened box, fully packed and wrapped at the factory.

I just had half a pint of what tasted very close to a Wendy’s Frosty for just 150 calories. There are 450 calories in a Wendy’s medium Frosty and about that many calories in a half pint of Häagen-Dazs® ice cream.  The Creami recipe I used was 1.5 scoops Clean Simple Brownie Batter Chocolate Whey Protein 150 calories, 1/3 cup cottage cheese (in place of heavy cream Keto) 60 calories, 1 cup of Almond Milk Vanilla Flavor 100 calories, 1/2 teaspoon Stevia, 1/2 teaspoon Guar Gum. The next time I’ll add an extra tablespoon of dark cacao powder to cover the dilution caused by the cottage cheese. Maybe a teaspoon of Stevia instead of half. I’ve also learned that I should only fill the pint halfway (instead of to the line) because it swells once frozen and the light ice cream setting adds a lot of air to the mix that doubles the content. Also, let the pint defrost for 15 minutes before spinning it to help unlock the ice from the sides. Then use a small spatula to scrape the frozen sides to the middle before the second spin.

Ezekiel Diet Note:  Protein powder gives you the flavoring, the third major ingredient in ice cream.  They’ve already designed delicious creamy protein shake that carries over well into ice cream.

I don’t like to see “Natural Flavors” in any product I buy.  I assume it’s code for MSG (cancer and fat fertilizer). I see it twice in this ingredient lineup; I don’t like mystery ingredients. Which means I’ll keep looking for a better product. But it’s rare to find Monk Fruit, Stevia and Xylitol sweeteners in one product. If the manufacturer happens across this post. Define “Natural Flavors”.

If this were organic it would be perfect. However, organic or not, I’ll assume the cocoa powder is lead contaminated, so don’t overdo the chocolate frosty flavor.

See a  Protein Powder Comparison Spreadsheet that I used to choose this product. In processed food like this you can only eliminate most of the egregious ingredients. The cleaner the Protein Powder the worse the ice cream tastes too. So you will have to dial in what works for you with the least blood sugar spike.

This next video shows you a very easy 2 ingredient recipe that automatically cuts real ice cream calories by two thirds, or 67%. Just 280 calories per pint verses 900+ calories in Häagen-Dazs® ice cream.
