Ezekiel Diet Note:  Dr. Bryan Ardis does it again. I was actually taking notes during this episode. This is a must hear podcast.

What is the Greatest Lie in Medicine? Dr. Ardis says the greatest lie in medicine is salt aka sodium causes high blood pressure and heart disease.

I guess I need to rethink the relationship between too much sodium and excess fluid weight gain, high blood pressure, and heart disease.

Dr. Ardis claims you need 6,000+ mg of sodium a day. Three times what I try to consume daily. To balance all that sodium he says you need magnesium using the following formula to determine dose in milligrams?

Weight divided by 2.2 lbs =  Pounds X 10.6 milligrams = total magnesium in mg

Example: 200 lbs divided by 2.2 lbs = 91 x 10.6 mg = 965 milligrams a day

I will put this hypothesis to the test immediately.

One day later: I did bump up magnesium to 3,000 mg (more than formula above) yesterday and I was in a deep sleep until 5:30 AM and only remember getting up once for the bathroom, instead of 4 or 5 time.

Dr. Ardis’ top 4 supplements are Vitamin C 5,000 mg day / Magnesium formula above / Selenium 200 mcg day / Nicotine 3.5 to 4 mg patch day
