Your Car is SPYING on You. How to DELETE Your Car’s Hidden Data with This Free Service

Ezekiel Diet Note:  Go to your car and take a picture of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) normally on the inside drivers side dash bottom of the windshield. Then go to www.Privacy4cars.com and see all the data being gathered by your vehicle. I went through the process (supposedly) to remove me from information gathering and sharing.

My vehicle is old enough to still be a “hard drive on wheels” (I don’t wear a car; I use a car) that isn’t broadcasting data, supposedly. This means I have to go into a dealership before they can download my history to Ford to sell or distribute to their partners. I like the vehicle and may just drop a new engine and seats into it and keep it. I don’t really want a new car broadcasting my use 24/7 like a cell phone.

GPS tracking should be one-way. Sirius is one-way. I’ve intentionally never connected the vehicle to a wifi network. However, the vehicle has probably found unsecured networks everywhere.

I read somewhere that a new automobile can gather and transmit 25 GB of data an hour from GPS, cameras and microphones. Here’s the article:

A ‘Connected Car’ Can Generate Up To 25 Gigabytes Of Data An Hour, But Where Is It Going?

That’s disturbing. Makes me wish I had my old 1969 white Ford Mustang back.

Modern cars have been described as “iPads on wheels”. General Motors was recently sued by the State of Texas for collecting and selling detailed data about drivers to insurance companies and data brokers without the informed consent of GM customers. This video explains a free tool you can use to find out what data your car is collecting, who it is being sold to / shared with, and how you can delete that data.

I am available as a keynote speaker for conferences, meetings and retreats.

These are the Privacy Agreements I’ve obviously agreed to accounting for 52,000+ words and 259 minutes to read. Half the words are at a 16th Grade Level or College Level Reading.

I wasn’t even aware my vehicle has an Amazon Alexa option. Disturbing.
