Ezekiel Diet Note: Some have referred to the act of withdrawing like TruNews has done to going gray. I’ve also been considering the same thing, I suspect it’s the Holy Spirit because it comes to mind a lot lately.

Rick doesn’t come right out and say what I suspect. He used every excuse except “spend more time with the family.” I’ve noticed other podcasts, like Healthmasters for one, that’s pulled back on too much reality inconvenient news.

It makes sense, we’re heading into a time of prolonged recession or even depression, depopulation and eugenics in our face, a bankrupt government looming, hyperinflation pinching budgets, empty shelves from tariffs looming, mass layoffs and unemployment, foreclosures, personal and business bankruptcies up, government deception and gaslighting off the charts, major wars brewing on several fronts. Anti-Christian rhetoric is at an all-time high. Antisemitism laws threaten to lock up those who notice and speak out about the elephant in the room. Donations for bloated podcast ministries are probably already too low and will probably continue to collapse. Getting rid of excess payroll and overhead now is a good idea. Cutting ties to the TruNews format is an even better idea. Focusing on Morning Manna and “children’s ministries” takes them off the radar.

Proverbs 27:12 states that a prudent person sees danger and takes precautions, while a simple person continues on without caution and suffers the consequences. This verse emphasizes the importance of wisdom and foresight in avoiding trouble.

Today, Friday, May 2, 2025, marks the final episode of TruNews. After 26 years, Rick Wiles announced that the Holy Spirit instructed him in 2024 to end the program and shift focus. TruNews has fulfilled its purpose, and continuing it would hinder God’s blessing on what comes next. Rick emphasized he is not retiring—he and Doc Burkhart will continue with Morning Manna and are launching a new online Bible school for children.

TruNews began in May 1999, before podcasting existed. Rick pioneered live-streamed audio news when few alternatives to corporate media existed. He thanked longtime supporters, many of whom have followed since the early days in Dallas-Fort Worth. Though emotional, Rick expressed gratitude for the journey and God’s faithfulness throughout.

Looking ahead, the ministry will expand Morning Manna’s distribution, develop Bible courses, and launch MM Breakfast Clubs. Rick’s next book, Mega Fire, is due this summer. He also plans to write more, teach full time, and prioritize family and Susan’s health.

Rick closed with heartfelt thanks to viewers, donors, and the team. TruNews is ending, but the mission continues—refocused, restructured, and recommitted to teaching God’s Word.
