Ezekiel Diet Note: I think this is the least detectable way to cover your tag with something that reflects ALPR infrared imaging.  This company offers a very low profile thin license plate cover that filters out light in the infrared spectrum while appearing totally clear to the human eye and normal cameras at any angle.

Many competitors to SunFlex Zone use a bubble clear cover that distorts the tag visually and for cameras only at an angle or from above. Straight on you can read them fine. But you can see the distortion lens even in the image to the right. They’re easy to visually detect when law enforcement see it with the naked eye. Plus, the bubble clear distortion plates will probably tag a car as suspicious by law enforcement. So you’re asking for a confrontation. Any tag cover that bubbles out from the tag is most likely asking for trouble, as that’s the design used to date for tag camera blocking that draw attention to you by law enforcement.

The $40 SunFlex clear flat plastic cover at least gets your car in the herd of other cars with cheap $5 clear plastic license plate protectors. See how many similar products are on Amazon for plain clear plastic tag covers that don’t block infrared spectrum: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=clear+plastic+license+plate+tag+cover

This SunFlex product uses multiple layers of infrared spectrum blocking material that causes the ALPR camera to see a mirror image blocking the tag. In low light it will pick up available light and glow. However it’s perfectly clear for visual inspection or normal camera mode.

One of the most common methods of tracking is using a device called, Automatic license-plate recognition(ALPR), Automatic license-plate reader (ALPR) or Automatic vehicle identification(AVI) depending on your location.

Practically all ALPR cameras operate exclusively in the infrared spectrum, along with most toll enforcement and many traffic enforcement cameras. So we are proud to offer a very low profile thin license plate cover that filters out light in the infrared spectrum while appearing totally clear to the human eye and normal cameras at any angle.
