Does Aluminum and Paraben Free ‘Native Deodorant’ Work? YES

Ezekiel Diet Note:  For years, actually decades, I’ve used the Arm and Hammer Essentials Aluminum, Paraben and Phthalate Free Deodorant that just stopped working.

On occasion when I know I’ll be out in 100 degree 100% humidity weather, or working outside I’ve been forced to use an aluminum deodorant like Degree.

So I’ve been looking for a better everyday deodorant, and I believe  I’ve found it in the Native brand 72 hour deodorant. Does it work? Yes!

I bought a travel size $2 sample of Native deodorant while at Kroger because it had “Aluminum and Paraben Free” on the label. It does work great. But it’s pricey at $14 each compared to half that price for A&H Essentials (that doesn’t work).

Native advertises 72 hours. But how does 72 hours work? What are the caveats? Obviously no showering, bathing, or swimming or you would have to reapply.

Back to price. You can get the price of Native down to about $8 each if you buy a 2 pack at Amazon. Sellers on eBay seem to have loads of it for sale, as well as the small travel size units.

I’m using coconut and vanilla now that smells like, and keeps reminding me of coconut cream pie all day. I’ll most likely switch to unscented.

See the ingredient breakdown and review at the link below. Native isn’t 100% clean so see the rundown. I would rate it at an 8 or 9 out of 10 compared to a 1 in your standard aluminum-brain-damage deodorant. I believe using ‘unscented’ Native moves it from an 8 to a 9.

THE OVERVIEW

What is it? Native deodorant is a gender-neutral deodorant that’s free of aluminum, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, and talc. It’s often advertised as being “clean” and non-toxic, BUT it’s not quite that straightforward.
