Ezekiel Diet Friendly Deals: Kroger Simple Truth Organic Sprouted Grain & Legume Bread

Ezekiel Diet Note: I’m updating an old post about Kroger and Ezekiel 4:9 Bread from Food for Life, and now Kroger’s own Simple Truth Organic Sprouted Grain Ezekiel 4:9 bread with a slightly different recipe at a great price.

I was at Kroger yesterday looking for their No Sugar Added Apple Pie in the freezer section of the bakery. I find that I like a lot of Kroger’s Simple Truth salad dressings, fresh organic fruit and vegetables, an occasional rotisserie chicken, eggs, some organic meat, and while I’m there I get paper goods, sauces, Kerry Gold butter, etc.

But, this next item makes Kroger the most Ezekiel Diet friendly because of great deals on Ezekiel 4:9 Bread from Food for Life. I saw a $4.99 price on Ezekiel 4:9 Food for Life brand bread if you buy 4 loaves. Because it’s frozen buy several loaves and bank the savings.

But the Kroger Simple Truth Organic Sprouted Grain Bread is $3.99 regular price. Kroger’s Simple Truth brand markets several Sprouted Grain & Legume Bread about 42% cheaper, or $3.99 instead of $6.99 for Ezekiel 4:9 Bread by Food for Life’s sprouted grain and legume bread.

I’ve bought several loaves for $3.99 and I like it. Kroger has a rating system that shows this product rates at 73 on their Food Health Score. However, Food for Life Ezekiel 4:9 Bread is rated at 90. I like it, it has a different flavor and it’s a nice change. I keep both in the freezer now. Check the ingredients as there’s 2 or 3 recipes for the Simple Truth brand.

Notice the two colors on their wrapper. It’s similar to Food for Life’s Ezekiel 4:9 Bread burnt orange color. In fact, the Kroger Simple Truth wrapper colors are the same lime green and burnt orange colors I use on this Ezekiel Diet site.
